Pelvic Health Workshop

 

An opportunity to find out more about issues facing women who have given birth including diastasis, pelvic floor issues including incontinence and prolapse and how to enhance your service and business for your participants whatever classes you teach. This evening will be taken by Angela Parkinson, Senior Women's Health Physiotherapist and mum of four.

This 2.5 hour workshop will consist of a theory element and lots of practical application including:

- how to screen your client deeper,

- how to test or direct someone to check their own tummy muscles,

- how to adapt your screening and classes to support the women in your class 

- online and book resources to support your learning and your class attendees

The workshop will enable you to understand why the 'post-natal' period has no limit! Women of all ages and stages need pelvic health awareness and support. You will also gain access to the Adore Your Core physiotherapy secret group for info and support.

Of women who have given birth....

50% will have some degree of prolapse at some point during their life,

1 in 3 women have incontinence and

30-40% have a weakened abdominal wall due to diastasis.

Many women wear continence pads to their fitness classes as their pelvic floor doesn't support them.... learn how you can help them and where to signpost them to.

Cancellation Policy: Where a place on a workshop has been confirmed a 90% refund will be given for cancellation up to 4 weeks before the workshop, a 50% refund will be given for cancellation up to 2 weeks before the workshop. No refund will be given for a cancellation within 2 weeks of the workshop.
